Husbands, your role in marriage is not just to lead, but to continually invest in the growth of your wife. Keep improving the quality of her self development, encouraging her to grow spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually. When you help her refine her gifts, strengthen her character, and pursue her God-given potential, you are building a partner who can walk with you in alignment and purpose. Your guidance, mentorship, and example shape not only her life but the environment of your home, fostering a marriage grounded in mutual growth and Kingdom impact.

Wives, your support matters immensely. Keep helping your husband in the areas of his assignment, standing by him, praying for him, and offering wisdom and encouragement where needed. True support does not mean controlling or overshadowing, but understanding his calling and walking alongside him, enabling him to fulfill God’s purpose for his life and your marriage. Your presence and assistance are vital in creating a partnership where both of you flourish and your shared vision comes to life.

Marriage is a continuous process of growth and alignment. When both husband and wife commit to developing themselves and supporting each other’s assignments, the relationship becomes a fertile ground for God’s glory. Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us, “And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” The threefold cord represents God’s presence intertwined with both partners’ growth and support, producing strength, resilience, and fruitfulness in the marriage.

Ask yourself today: Are you actively helping your spouse grow in their God-given purpose, or are you passive in their journey? How can you improve your contribution to their growth and development? Are you investing in your own self development to be the kind of partner who strengthens and uplifts, creating a marriage that reflects God’s design and produces lasting fruit?
